As an institute of Dance we appreciate Bajirao Mastani and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s style of film-making as choreography and dance form an integral role in his movies. Bajirao Mastani was a delight as it featured breathtaking  Marathi folk dances to the tracks Malhari and Pinga  however the stunning Sufi/Mughal Kathak dance piece Deewani Mastani was magnetic and alluring.

The Kathak piece Mohe Rang Do Laal was spectacular in every frame. It gives us immense pride to see that our Art still lives within Indian Cinema. Pt. Birju Maharaj – the leading exponent of the Lucknow Kalka-Bindadin gharana of Kathak dance in India has created a gem within Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani.
